I do not understand how I pay the agent if I use them in a wholesale deal. Do I pay them based on the price of the house I am going to make a deal on, or on my profits on the house?

I also heard of becoming an assistant of an agent, where you join the real estate boards whiteout being an agent , you can have access to the MLS. Is that true? If it is can you please direct me to a website containing this information?

I understand they get paid through escrow, but do they get paid on the price of the house being sold or on my profit from the house?

And Scott, where can I find that information online to join the MLS or become an assistant to real estate agents?

I am starting my business and I am going to use a real estate agent so they can give me comps on the MLS. How do I pay them? Do I give them a commission of my profit and they just get paid through escrow?
