Post: Changing title on inherited property

My wife recently inherited her childhood home when her mother passed. The property was held in trust with my wife as the only child and successor trustee. We have not attempted to change anything on the title. We received the county tax bill today that breaks out a significant senior school tax credit due to my mother-in-laws age. Now that my wife owns the property, she would not qualify for the credit. We did not think we were going to have to record a quitclaim deed with the county to show a change in ownership, but now with the property tax credit attributed to my mother-in-law, it seems like we need to do something. Keeping the credit and playing dumb seems like it will catch up with us at some point. Property is located in New Castle county Delaware.
I am new to Bigger pockets and first post. I thought I would throw this out there to see if anyone has any opinions.
Thank you
