Thanks Mike for the heads up. I actually searched through Meetup.com and found out about that group. I dont think there is a big turnout of REI groups in Long Island. I hope to connect with that group soon. Probably see you at the next meet. Let me know when you plan on going again.

I am currently self employed and have always had REI in the background. I believe I've sat on it to long and its time to make some moves. I'm in the Long Island, NY area and looking to get into the buy and hold field so that I can enjoy a nice passive income. For now thats my nich. Im going into this with my girlfriend who seems as excited as me. Looking to network ASAP to help me/us get into this sonner then later. Hope to make a lot of moves and connections through BP. For now back to the webinars and podcasts. See you soon....

Interesting post because I have a similar situation with my 15 year old son who I would like for him to get involved in the REI field. I myself am starting out in REI. Would surely like to hear some feedback on this one.
