@Jay DeCima - Moderate chance to be a military family. (AF base is about 5 minutes away. If not, middle-class.)

For those in favor of vinyl, what color/look would you choose? Here is a video that shows you what the rooms look like. (Go to 1:55.)

Hello, everyone.

My uncle, an architect, suggested that I use interlocking vinyl for the bedrooms. (I favor carpet.)

His reasoning was the cost and longevity, as opposed to carpet.

Does anyone have the same or different take on the type of flooring to use?

Cardcash has a great deal right now.

8.42% off cards, 5% with coupon code BRADSFIVE, another 2% with my Citi Double Bonus card = 15.42% off

Go on eBay and purchase $20 off $100 printables and it's essentially 35.42% off per $100

I would like to input the dimensions and specifications of the kitchen tile layout that I want. Once I input the information, I'd like the app to provide me with the blueprint of how every piece of tile should be laid.

Does anyone have knowledge of an app (Android) that assists with tile layouts?

As in, I input the wall-to-wall measurements, tile width, grout width, and it spits back out my cuts?

iOS seems to have one called TilePro, but I'm not an iPhone user.

Thanks for the advice. When I looked at the sample board, my first choice was Weathered Wood as well.

Evergreen? Hmm, don't know about any green color. Looks too radical for me!

Yes, the rest of the house will be the same color as you see in the video.

If I were in your shoes, I would put a gray roof on.  I lighter color roof holds less heat, which in turn means the in the summer time in the south, your house doesn't have to work so hard to stay cool. Also, with no shutter on the front, there would be just a little more contrast on the house.

There aren't any HOA issues and I would prefer a lighter color for less heat.

For those in favor of a contrasting color, what color - other than black - would you go with?
