@Rafal Mielniczek

As a Hackensack resident/home owner I've seen the growth in such a short period. They just added a free shuttle M-F that runs during business hours, pretty huge for the area.

20 unit building is definitely a goal i see for myself down the line.  very inspiring, good luck!!

@Jason Cory awesome tips! I use spreadsheets all day and had no idea there was such an add-on.

Funny. I was in Wilmington DE today and browsing. Beautiful homes, not too familiar with the area either but would also like to invest there.

Thats great Andrew. I've been keeping an eye out in Hackensack but like I mentioned its pretty pricey. I'm getting more comfortable with living there,  its such a huge difference from living in the NYC.  But i enjoy the diversity reminds me of home. Commute to the city (PABT) as you asked in your forum is pretty easy via express bus.

I guess I'm thinking in terms of being able to drive to the property if necessary,up to 2 hrs would be ideal, but not opposed to 4. Plus I have family in Delaware and can make an excuse for visits. Tenant friendly isn't a great thing for a soon to be landlord . what challenges have u faced in Delaware regarding that? thanks for the response.

Hello everyone, my name is Portia Bright born,raised and sauteed in Harlem New York :-)  I moved  into a townhome in Hackensack NJ 2 yrs ago

I am actively researching where to purchase my first multi family home(2-4 doors). I've ruled out the ever brilliant house hacking(husband is against it..bummer). I think my first property should be near so i can gain experience as a property manager but I'm struggling with homes that are more affordable in surrounding areas (Pennsylvania, Delaware, I am a Delaware State grad, and prop taxes are almost nothing).

Anyway.. there's my introduction (breathes fro the first time) :-)
