This is not a detailed and in depth reply but just wanted to say - fantastic - I learn so much when you ask (and answer) questions like the topic of this post...
And on the question itself, I would look at property (land) here in Australia there are some amazing acres (hectares) to be enjoyed, I am constantly looking at it and thinking wow, that'd be great. Just a quick general comment. :)

Last week I put an ad ($35) in the local paper (went out to about 30,000 people) and I got one phone call from it. I found that quite funny. Anyway, just got to find the right way, the right approach. It all works out eventually. :)

Post: I have $704 to give away. Any suggestions?

With that amount you could get yourself 1 (or 2) SiteBuildIt (SBI) websites and set it up using your knowledge/experience...end up with a small home based (online) business that provides great content/info... that's just one idea of course...there's other ways to contribute too, like this for example: http://herorat.org - it looks strange but it's an amazing thing they're doing... Hope that helps... Martin :)

Thanks Bill...Brunswick is a beautiful part of Melbourne...a lot of old warehouses now being converted to apartments...and great 'old' homes...in fact Melbourne is like that all over...it's a terrific city for architecture...I have seen some amazing old banks and historic buildings for sale at good prices too in central Victoria and NSW... anyway maybe we can discuss that more in the forums...thanks :) Martin
