Yes we even have shoes!!!!!!! I am wanting to start a business. My house is going into foreclosure because I have had 2 babies and a major surgery in the past 3 years and been off work for over a year total. I have over $200,000 in equity in my house. I would like to use it for part of the business but because I have no cash to put down it is impossible to find funding. When you look at the lists of hard money lenders there are very few that do Arkansas. Is there a reason for this? I was just wondering if I need to say screw it and move to another state!!!!! Why is it soooo hard to start a business that is soooo desperately needed? Will my children be able to "make it" in this state? Will I be able to leave them some kind of legacy? Do you have to have the last name of Walton or Tyson to make money in this state? Which was the better front man for Van Halen.... David or Sammy? These are the questions that haunt me on a daily basis!

Thank you for making me feel welcome to the site. I appreciate it. As far as the list, I have done all of that and more. I even paid someone to help me find investors when I first started this, that cost me!!!! (and no results). :violin: I am in the process of getting my 501(3)c. I have sent a letter of inquiry to some of the supposed charitable foundations. I have learned that alot of them are very nice and think I have a wonderful idea and if I were in their geographic area they would give me the money. But the ones in my geographic area dont give for my project, there has been only one very rude one so far, :protest: which is not bad considering how many I have talked with at this point. I dont care though, all it takes is one yes!!!! :superman:

As an appraiser my opinion of the housing bubble is the fauld to the mortgage lenders. Most of the time, when doing an appraisal, if the report did not come out to the expected market value of the property, the lender would hound the appraiser almost to the point of pressuring the appraiser to make the appraisal "come out". Our company lost a lot of business for not bowing to the lenders needs and wants. I know of appraisers in my area that would do anything to keep their business. There are so many appraisers and lenders that have messed up the market it is unreal. And now everyone is paying the price just because so many wanted to make a buck or two.
Why is it so hard to find any kind of financial help in the state of Arkansas? What is wrong with my state that I live in????

Hello, my name is Rene'e and I am a real estate appraiser from Northwest Arkansas. For over 2 years I have been trying to find investors or a lender to finance a residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation center for juveniles for state ordered and low income. In my "quest" to find financing I have been ripped off, told off and any other kind of "off" you can imagine. But I have yet to be discuraged!!!! With the real estate market the way it is as of late and the fact that I have been ripped off I am now looking to sell my house. I also within the past three years have had 2 babies and a major surgery that kept me out of work for almost a year total. We are starting to get back on our feet but are not quite there. I have learned so much about the financial world looking for financing for my "project". If anyone knows any way to help me please let me know!!!! I am not giving up on the rehab, those kids need me!
