Thanks everyone for all the words of advice! @Matt Zothner, my thinking was like yours, then I decided to rent a spare bedroom. Believe it or not, travel is alive and well. Since October, I have been at 98.2% occupancy. It's still hard for me to believe. I net $1500 a month on a room that would probably rent for only $500 to a tenant. Hope this helps, if you have other questions, feel free to PM me

No, not just the opposite.
We would be willing to pay whatever it takes to be taken seriously, prioritized, and have thoroughly itemized quotes.

Has anyone in the greater Raleigh area had luck in finding a General Licensed Contractor with the bandwidth to provide itemized full rehab estimates on fix and flips?

My business partner and I are getting started in BRRRR investing in the greater Raleigh / Triangle North Carolina area.
We intend to focus on short-term rentals using AirBnb and like platforms after the rehab/refinance process. We are hoping to find more lenders are open to this sort of refinance, as there will certainly be pent up demand to travel to capitalize from.
Looking to network with local agents specializing in finding distressed properties before they hit the MLS, as well as wholesalers, property managers, local hard/private money lenders, and other subject matter experts.
Would love to connect with anyone interested

Hello,
Me and my partner are prepared to begin taking necessary steps to investing in BRRRRs. We are both homeowners, so we are familiar with the traditional process of buying property.
When it comes to BRRRR, we are unsure of the proper order to execute the following.
1) Meet with a hard money lender
2) Meet with an accountant to set up a corporation
3) Meet with a realtor
Looking for advice on which to start with.
Thanks!
Mark and Jacob

Hey Jake!
Thank you so much for the greetings. I am very grateful, and would love to take you up on this list of resources.
I am digging through your website as I write this. Your story is an inspiration.
I am curious, I see that you have five units. Is this all it took for you to generate the cash flow you were after, or are you still building your portfolio?
Thanks again!

Greetings, My name is Mark, and I live in Raleigh, NC. I am currently a home-owner, renting out a single bedroom on AirBnb. This covers my mortgage and utilities.
Both home ownership, and Airbnb, have given me a good taste of the world of real-estate and rentals. I am looking to pursue real investing full time, with a focus on short term rentals.
I have a decent amount of financial resources to get started.
I just finished reading Rich Dad, Poor Dad, and am in the middle of reading Brandon's The Book on Rental Property Investing.
Any getting-started advice from members, both locally, and remotely, would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
Mark
