@Travis Watts Thanks Travis for the advice. I really want to start ASAP but acquiring capital for my first 4-plex is a little slow.

I am a veteran that plans to use my VA loan to purchase my first investment. I was wondering if I should purchase a house with ample amount of bedrooms to use as Airbnb or get a Multi-family and rent long term?

@Eugene M. I guess I dont know much about VA loan. I didnt know that I can purchase a multi-family with it.

Another question: How do I find a great deal for a multi-family? So far, all I know are third party websites such as Zillow,Trulia, and Redfin.

@John Warren I appreciate your advice, John. I would look deeper into renting short term/long term while I save more money. The reason I brought up wholesaling is because its so appealing by how you can make $10k in just a week or so.

I'm a veteran who wants to make use of VA loan to start off my RE investing career. I would like to ask you guys about your opinion on how I can better utilize my VA loan. I have always thought about starting my career as a wholesaler. Would it be best to wholesale my first purchase or buy a house and rent the remaining rooms?
