Hello my name is Randy and I'm a new investor in the Raleigh, NC area and currently I live out of state. I'm looking to connect with others in the Raleigh market and wanted to know what neighborhoods are good to invest in right now. Feel free to reply or shoot me a DM and let's chat! Thanks!

Congrats Curtis Bidwell! Very inspiring for a newbie like me. I want to be you when I grow up!
Ryland Taniguchi I hear you. The "guru" path is something I'd like to avoid as well. Unfortunately, I don't have access to capital like you do so perhaps taking one of their courses to learn how to will benefit me. The most successful people hire coaches and mentors to help them get to new levels. Perhaps I should take a page out of their book and do the same.

@Ryland Taniguchi: Have you gone to any of the MPactWealth classes or just read the books? What are your thoughts on the classes and/or books? I'm trying to learn more about private lending.

I've been to one of Johnson's Meetups before. Couldn't make the one last week but I'll try to make it to the Dec one.

First of all, BiggerPockets is the greatest! There is so much info and the podcasts, blogs, and forums are fantastic. It's almost too overwhelming! I have seen the light and believe real estate will lead to wealth and financial freedom. After starting off my REI journey with Rich Dad, Poor Dad, I've dove into Brandon's No and Low Money Down book and it's snowballed into getting The Millionaire Real Estate Investor, What Every Real Estate Needs To Know About Cash Flow, The Book on Estimating Rehab Costs, The Book on Flipping Houses, etc. There has never been a time in my life when I've been so enthusiastic about reading until my eyes opened to REI. Let me know of any other book recommendations if you think it will help. Being new, I'm absorbing all the info I can. I'd be open to joint venture/partnerships should the opportunity work out for both parties. Trust deed investing has recently piqued my interest so if anyone has expertise in that we should talk. Thank you Josh and Brandon for providing such a valuable resource!
