Harassment for what?

it say we harassing them because my mom went inside to go to the yard when they are not at home and went inside their home to receive payment without their permission and saying we throw away their mails/letter and telling them not to use the washing machine/ drying machine after 7pm and saying we making noise after 10pm. they also say we refused payment because my mom don't know whats a cashier check because they always give cash to her and all of a sudden they give her a cashier check and my mom don't know whats that so she refused.

hi i just received a harassment letter from my tenant and was wondering if i should find a landlord attorney for this?

so my best bet is to find a attorney on how to deal with this situation?

@Richard Ma I'm not sure I'm totally clear on the issue. Are the renters upset that the kitchen is located in the basement? No matter how tenant friendly the laws are in SF, I don't think they would side with a tenant in this scenario...

I would encourage your parents to thoroughly screen renters and sign a lease that's specialized to rentals in SF. It is tenant friendly, but it's nothing too outrageous. They should be able to rent / manage without issue (or law suit!).

so my parent house have a kitchen in the basement i think its illegal to have gas stove in the basement in sf. Im just scared that the bad family will use that against my parent. for example they can call the city inspector to come and check it and if its illegal the city can fine my parent and tell my parent to take the kitchen down or bring it up to code. my coworker told me if that happen my parent have to pay a displacement fee which is 10k+ each person for the family to move out so they can take down the kitchen or bring it up to code.

Hi, i  have a  question about house that have kitchen in  the  basement. My parent rented their basement down stair to two family with no written lease  and it  got a kitchen down stair the house is located in SF, which tenant has more power over landlord. My parent have some problem with one family but have a good relationship with the other family. My concern is that the family that my parent having issue with will sue or not pay rent  to my parent. Is there anyway I can help my parent with this? or there's is no way of helping them and if they sue or not pay my parent, my parent have to pay them? I heard from my coworker my parent have to pay each person at least 10k each person. I just hoping to try to help my parent with this issue. thanks

so i just saw the news today they gonna extend the eviction moratorium till June. How are the landlord going to pay for mortgage and property tax if their tenant not paying? I'm just worrying about myself lucky my tenant still paying rent.
