Quote from @Rick Pozos:
Houses are not selling in days or hours anymore. The time on market is a couple of months. If the house is 1mil+ which I am guessing since it is in Bellaire, TX, the higher priced houses take longer to sell in general. With the higher interest rates, it makes payments even higher.
I would brace for 4 to 6months to sell. If you really want to sell quick, DROP the price a bunch.
thanks for the reply a couple more questions:
1. How does the property sell ultimately? Does somebody just show up? Our showings have tricked down, so curious about how things change in longer-term like you mentioned -- 4-6 months. Again first-time sellers so not have much idea.
We have dropped the price by 7% (twice now). I am okay with waiting for some time.
2. But typically, when do people start thinking about renting the home instead of selling it?
thanks much.

Hello Everyone,
My family and I are in the process of making a move from Bellaire to Long Island, NY. The Bellaire market is a bit unpredictable; some homes sell super fast while others linger for months.
We have a lovely home in Bellaire, but it doesn’t have a pool which seems to be a popular feature around here. We've been working with a realtor, hosting open houses, staging, and even reducing the price, but nothing has clicked yet. It’s starting to get a bit frustrating.
We really need to sell our current home to move to New York. Any suggestions or insights would be greatly appreciated! On a side note, I’m gearing up for the real estate exam in NY, so I’m quite excited about this transition.
Thanks in advance for your help!
