Furnished Finder has been an amazing platform for me to find nurses! I highly recommend them. I have a small 4 unit building and we have 50% furnished rentals for travel nurses specifically. I have found them to be quality tenants and Furnished Finder is growing as they were recently acquired by Apartments dot com. Check them out!

Riverside is quite the drive for me but I am always in at the LA South REIA meetings if you ever would like to attend our events.

@David M. I just went to the website you recommended to @Allan Ramos. What's with the fees to join? Yeah I read the website but would you be so kind as to share your personal experiences and how joining this REIA has benefited your real estate career? I'm really curios because I have only attended one for some time now and they only charge my $20 when I attend. Thanks,

Jorge

Hi @Jorge Ruiz.  You can pay for individual meetings if you want - I think it's $30 for the monthly main event and $20 for each subgroup meeting.  I did the annual membership which gets me into everything for free.  I could go to all 60 or so meetings in a year but wholesaling's not my thing so I go to 40-50 meetings.  It averages out to less than $10 per meeting.  I think they just raised prices so not sure if they've updated the membership on their website.

Cost aside, I've found a ton of value in the group.  The main event speakers have been consistently good, as have the subgroup hosts/speakers (usually the same people with different topics each week).  I've learned about areas that I didn't really know existed.  Many times these guys are selling stuff, but they say almost nothing about it other than a brief mention and/or a referral to their website.

Almost no sales stuff in the subgroups other than a short time at the beginning where the director encourages guests to become members, maybe some focused trainings for an extra fee, etc.  The main event has a little bit more in terms of sponsors getting a minute or two to promote their services, other promotions, etc.  Overall minimal sales.

The most important part, though, is the networking.  I think there are 2-300 members and everyone has been very supportive and collaborative, helping each other grow through JVs, encouragement, and advice, etc.  Even I, as an introvert, have been able to take advantage of this.

I get nothing for promoting this group, but once I found it I wished I had been going for years.  It would be worth checking out for a meeting or two to see if it's a fit for you.  The next main event is the annual "speed-dating" event where you get a minute or two with as many people as possible.  It's different than most events so it's not representative of what normally happens, but super valuable if you like networking.

Best of luck.

Well said David, Thank you for the endorsement!

@Paul Black I loved your response, very helpful. I just met with an estate attorney who I met at my local REIA. We had a great chat over lunch. The main objective was to learn how he conducts his side of the business and what a typical client experience over probate. At the end of the conversation he mentioned he would be willing to send over clients who need to liquidate their assets. My question to you is, if we are not realtors, we are wholesalers, what compensation is to be provided to the attorney? What's in it for them? Is it just so an attorney can provide a solution for client, make things go smoother?
