Hello Christopher,
I appreciate the response! I believe the estate is just over an acre, its kind of out in a rural area part of Florida. There is an executor approved by the court but for some reason there has been a lag in the process. My grandfather who passed two years ago left the property to my father and we still have not been able to get the property into my fathers name. Not sure if the executor( a different person) are just dragging their feet or what. Either way its been frustrating trying to wait and go through the process especially since there is not any clear communication between myself and the executor.

Thank you all for the comments! Currently we have a electric stove with a glass top, but one of the burners is not working and it has some visible wear and tear from over the years. I'll look into the Samsung models though, thanks again!

Hello all,
I have a family member who has a property in probate in Florida. My family member and myself are located in Washington state so we are looking for direction in terms of how to get the property out of probate and into my family members name. I am looking for a real estate lawyer that is familiar with the Florida regulations regarding properties in probate. If you are a lawyer or know of a lawyer in Florida, please contact me via BiggerPockets. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you!

Looking to remodel our kitchen in one of our rental properties any suggestions when deciding between gas or electric stoves? Leaning towards electric because I don’t want any gas leaks or accidental grease fires, but is having a gas stove something that appeals to renters? Also, would you invest in a new stove or try to find a used but in good condition stove ? Please leave thoughts, comments, and advice.
Thank you!

I have been doing real estate research for a few weeks now and I keep coming across the phrase "know you market". I understand that 'your market' is where you are buying or selling real estate. I want to know what I need to research about the market I want to purchase in. I have a list already of the main things I want to look into ( Crime, rent prices, nearby schools, new or planned expansion of infrastructure in the area, and value of homes in the area). But please comment anymore things I need to research before buying in a particular market. Also feel free to add your own stories and suggestions as to what you do when looking to purchase a new investment property.

Hello James,
Great story, very inspiring for a newbie investor like myself. I am just beginning my real estate education and am very interested in the BRRRR method. I am a little confused on the first beginning steps though. To buy the townhome In Alabama did you use your own saved up money or did you find a lender? If you could explain the beginning process of BRRRR I would appreciate it greatly. Also, are there any articles or books that you read when you were getting started ?

Hello! I am new to Investing and business in general. I am young and eager to reach financial freedom (as well as willing to put in the work). I would really appreciate any tips and/or resources to help with building a strong foundation in investing. I began reading “Rich Dad Poor Dad” by Robert Kiyosaki and realized I need MORE financial education!!! I use the BP resources of course but I would like to know of any particular books, blogs, etc that would help with expanding my knowledge. Anything is appreciated, Thanks!
