@Caley Crossman Hi I had the same question you had. I am in a position where my rent will be increased significantly soon, and I was making plans to buy a home in the next 2-3 years already.  So, I am in a position right now where I am looking to get into a rent to own program so I can move into my own home. However I may need more cash to give to rent to own as a down payment to move into the house after their investor purchases it. I was wondering if I can use my RRSP to give to the rent to own?  Does anyone know this answer, or can help lead me to it? Any experience or advise will be helpful. Thanks 

Also, @Roy Cleeves Do you have any insight on this? You mentioned arm's length. I am not sure about this. I wonder if the investor (rent to own) will accept RRSP as a down payment. Does anyone know which rent to own company is best for this option? ( In London, and St. Thomas Ontario Area)
