@Mark Nolan I used to live in Del Mar, are you investing in the San Diego area?

I think that I have listened to about 50 of them so far and I think all of Clayton Morris too. I have also listened to Gary Keller book, Rich Dad, Think and Grow Rich, 4 Hour Work Week, and numerous other business books. I am in the middle of transferring money to a self directed IRA and can't wait to buy my first.

Thanks again and all advice is welcome!!

Hello Everyone,

I am a new investor from the Seattle area looking for a way to retire. I am 48 now and I figure that I will need somewhere between 40 and 50 doors to retire at the same level of life that I am living now. Right now I have a vacation rental on Anderson Island, WA, but no other rental properties. I have a great W2 job now, but not enough in savings to plunk down on a property right now. Doing a lot of learning and searching around the country for the right spot to start investing. I like Kansas City and Missouri in general, but I am still looking around.

I am really looking for people in Seattle to talk to about investing away from our home town, what works, what doesn't, what questions should I be asking about these properties, etc.

Thanks for reading and really excited about being a part of the community.

Russ

I had been looking in that same neighborhood and I would be curious to hear what you think. After all the learning that I have been doing it does seem like I will need to step up a level to the $50k - $100k area.

I am like you, I have a great job and great monthly income, but not a lot of cash saved up for down payments. Would be great to hear more about what I can do to get into my first property.

Good luck!
