Living in a home near tracks, I found like most things you tend to not even notice it after a few days.

I grew up near an airport as well. Planes flew low enough where you could see the people in the windows. Regardless - it was just part of the scene and didn't really bother you unless you were on the phone.

I would always use electric if given the option and it's a rental. Personally, I prefer gas - but of course that's for my own home.

When people leave, they usually only bother to take things they need or want. Obviously if they never vacuumed at their old place, certainly no need for one at the new one!
