I’d love to authorize pets and let the renters use the space but then I’d have to mow the whole three acres. Which can get expensive real fast.

The storage idea is good though. I hadn’t thought of that. Might look into that as a serious option going forward. Thank you

I've considered a mobile home or possibly a couple of them but then it calls into question which portion of the renting population that I'd be attracting. I'm not interested in becoming a "slumlord" so I believe that a mobile home or two wouldn't be optimal for me.

I've considered selling it off. Unfortunately, the people who built the home had to use a septic tank and the state laws require the septic tank have a minimum of 3 acres in order to be legal. So selling just the two acres is not an option.

Thank you for your replies, sorry it took me so long to reply to your replies. This is my first post and I wasn't sure how to check the status of my post before now.

I've recently purchased my first investment. I'm house hacking a triplex that came on 3 acres of land. The triplex itself is on about one acre of the land but the extra 2 acres is a problem that I'm seeking to solve.

I'm in Arkansas near Little Rock AFB.

What should I do with the extra land that is on my property?  Any advice or tips are greatly appreciated.

Thank you much and have a great day!
