Post: Re-defining my "Why" for success...

I have been away from the forums for a couple of weeks, so I thought I would post a quick update.

My wife and I had our first child. Anaya Samana was born on June 15th 2010.

As a financial counselor to many US Navy members I get asked many times "How do you become financially successful?" I have always replied that once a person discovers their "why", the hows will fall into place. In a sense, if you have a strong enough reason to be financially successful, you would walk through a brick wall to get there.

I thought I had my Why figured out, that was until I held that baby for the first time. My motivation for towering success has never been stronger and I am looking forward to achieving it faster than I ever thought possible.

Tom,

Thank you for sharing. I had never really heard of it, but now it is on top of my list to get to.

Wow, we are teaching our kids a valuable lesson, if you can't win fairly, just cheat.

Michael, thanks for the introduction up top :)

Aside from those attributes I am also an Active Duty sailor. I had a 5 year commitment that began in Mar2006 and will end in Mar2011.

Thanks, I checked it out. It seems like a very interesting way to market it. From what I saw on the website, it can be great for selling properties.

How can we use it to find qualified properties? Would the system support something where the seller sends a text and he receives a pre-programmed text etc?

I could definately put it to use.

Shania,

welcome to BP. I am sure you will find a ton of useful information on here and many real life people who are out doing it everyday. I was stationed in MD for 2 years and enjoyed it immensely. I still have many friends that live there.

I am sure you will do great, the main thing is to start and take that first step. The rest will fall into place.

To your success,

This 9 minute clip was funny and depressing at the same time. It seems our government is at a stand still, but what can I say, "its complicated"...

Michael,

I hope you don't mind, but do you have any financial ties to the company?

Congrats on a job well done Vikram. One of my favorite authors says "profits are better than wages" and I couldn't agree with him more.

I am waiting on my first profit check also. Hopefully it will follow soon :)

Rich,

For me it is money. I purchased the first deal with <7k (sub 2). I had another great deal that I had to wholesale because of lack of money. I am now buying 2 other units though, so lets see how it goes.
