Because I’m new to real estate I wanted some input on my best strategy based on my currently situation and goals.

Currently, I’m in Afghanistan and will be here until the end of 2014. Right now my real estate team consists of me. I don’t have support back home (USA) or people I can really count on to do “leg work” for me.

My main short term goal is to produce income of at least $50K to support my family back home between now and January. From that goal I’m mainly interested in build wealth through real estate in ways which doesn’t require me to be a landlord.

I have $30K set aside for real estate investing as of now.
Property Management isn’t something I really want to be tied down with for
various reasons.

My long term goal of creating income with real estate is to invest in other businesses. It seems as though liens and deeds would serve this purpose. However I’m opened to ideas of what I should pursuit. Thanks in advance.

Greetings Welcome aboard. I'm fairly new myself and recently out of college. Ar you interested in silgle family homes or multi-family units when it comes to rentals?

Hey JP Musgrove, mind if I expand on your question. As a new investor myself I'm wondering which came first the property or the money to find the property?

Jerry I will be in touch for sure. I really have no reservations about going all over the US so I'm comfortable with anywhere. I know focus is important thou, which I think is my biggest problem I'm not sure where to focus. Thanks again.

Naveen, I struggle with this question as well. As I'm overseas and not able to physically view properties, how would one go about finding a bird dog?
