all these contractors are from Alanta 

meaning length of time completion 6-9 months already been since (2)weeks prior too Thanksgiving 

I am I the owner able to buy materials for the constural repair and just pay the labors

Contract said owner on check first then contractor and both have to sign. Contractor wanted his name to be first on check. Ana mortgage bank says that can not done that way. So the check comes to us we both sign and it goes into owner bank and owner pays half and in full when job complete.  If a invaild contractor starts job about 40% through then hires a license contractor do we have to pay the part that has been done.  Yes I want to be fare and pay. But he refuses to give receipts for materials purchased and gives amount of what was spent

Home damage from Hurricane Michael total damage 100% paid to rebuild home. Not from ground up but lots of damage. Whole back side out. This contractor I did not hire the one I hired went and hired him 

Good morning to all thank you for the response. Not sure what terms or made for the contractor for repairs. He just said we both sign the checks and he puts them in his account my name first the his. I feel like I am just signing over it all too him. So I can tell him he gets half now do the job and the rest when finished 

If a contractor says the payments goes into his bank then owner not really paying them. How does this work
