Post: If the Market is Crashing, Then Why Aren't You Selling?

We are liquidating. The plan going into 2020 was to transition 4 very profitable vacation rentals, managed by me via Airbnb, into long-term rentals over the next 2 years.  2 of the 4 vacation rental properties we had under contract when Covid-19 hit. The original plan was to sell the last two in 2021/2022 but with the market still at such a high we decided to sell now. I do not see a significant difference in pricing while selling our last 2 properties. (that's going under contract with the first two early March and the second two early May) Crash or no crash, we'll be buying long-term rentals.

@Caleb Heimsoth in regards to your point about all if his previous semesters being wasted now...to quote Dave Ramsey- "don't throw good money after bad". If you realize you're wasting your time, stop wasting your time.

Post: Homeaway/VRBO suggestions on transferring reservations

I'm about to purchase a new cabin for short term rentals. Part of the deal is getting the $9000 worth of existing reservations that exist through the end of 2018. Airbnb has a wonderful solution to co-managing this process but Homeaway/VRBO does not. The seller will not cancel the reservations and ask the guests to re-book as she feels a personal obligation to those who have booked with her. How would you handle the transition of VRBO rentals being managed by the seller? Does anyone have experience solving this kind of issue?
