Good Morning Everyone, I hope you're doing well! I'm looking to find a real estate agent or investor who specializes or has experience with foreclosures and REO's to get my first investment started. I'd really appreciate any tips or contacts to start off.

Sean, so glad you are gearing up to make the jump. I always thought truck driving was cool and I respect what they do. I would probably go crazy sitting in one spot for that long of a time. Anyways, I want to connect with you as I am a broker in the Raleigh area. My team and I work with a lot of investors reason being because we are investors ourselves. Cory hit everything on the nail when it comes to shopping lenders. I know I can help get you in contact with some local banks and we have an in house mortgage broker with our affiliated firm if needed. Knowing the numbers is essential in any investment. With risk their comes reward so knowing your stuff and having experts in your corner mitigate that. If you are on this forum I know you are headed in the right direction!

It’s definitely not the most job in the world, but I’ve got a plan so I’m okay with it. That would be great! I’ve been wanting to figure out the possibilities of what I can do and a range of numbers for everything.

Thank you so much for the information Mr. Thornton, these were questions I didn’t even have the knowledge to ask. I’ll definitely be putting them to use as I continue to do research and be prepared to make the big jump!

Happy to help. If you ever have any questions or want to toss around potential investment strategies, just give me a shout. I'm always looking for an excuse to grab a coffee and chat real estate.

I’d really appreciate that, I’m always looking for advice!

Good Evening,

My name is Sean; I'm currently learning and soaking up as much as information as I can about real estate and becoming successful in the space. I'm currently a truck driver and looking to purchase my first property near downtown Raleigh or possibly Morrisville/Cary area within a years time. I'm currently saving money to purchase the property under an FHA loan and rebab a little on the house so I can rent it out in a year. I would love some suggestions or just any kind of information from someone more experienced in the space. Hope you're all having a great day!
