I am an aspiring wholesaler from Mobile, AL and I have been "Driving 4 Dollars", meaning that I have been driving around town looking for FSBOs and vacant houses. I have a list of about 20 houses that look like they might be abandoned or maybe have recently deceased owners. How would you go about finding the owners of these properties and then marketing to them? Is the best way just look into public records and send them a letter?

Yes I meant targeted as in the different leads one can generate with public records.

The best direction I have found on the forums would be targeted direct mail to find motivated sellers. As far as buyers the best way would be to find your local REI club.
