I have been building up some relationships with investors over the last couple years but my brokerage is really residential forward. Seeking off market opportunities and just plain ol' meet other agents. I have one buyer seeking a shopping center or warehouse with office space in Warren, Sterling Heights, Madison Heights, Troy and looking for anyone who has a good network to help me out. All the best!

May be advantageous to focus in winter on ice fishing as well (throw a shanty up on the lake to go along with the rental) but prob requires a local guide to help with that.

100% agree with @Torrell Palmason. It certainly depends on what sort of cash flow you're looking for and your budget.

In Detroit, it would be good to either nab something that is either already tenant occupied (with a lease signed of course) or a property that requires minimal work to get it up and running. Mortgage payment is going to take a big chunk out each month.

Have you looked in Hamtramck? A duplex is always a good option if it's in a good location.

Hey there!

Local Detroit agent here with Berkshire Hathaway: The Loft Warehouse. Sending you a connection invite.

Highly recommend: Metro Detroit Real Estate Investors Group on Facebook, a lot of good stuff going on in there and they have a monthly meet up.

I'm a realtor in Detroit (I live in Morningside, right next to East English Village). We can do PM and simple lease ups depending on what you need. Would be happy to run a CMA and chat about what you're looking to accomplish.
