Does that mean that your buddy and you just went halfsies and don't worry about who contributes what or that you use cash as the basis and invest equal dollars? cc @Matt R.

@Jeff Greenberg

@Account Closed

I know you all have partners. Curious how you structured the value of sweat equity, network, experience, deal opportunity etc?

Hi All,

Join us for the second Santa Cruz / Monterey Bay BP meetup of the year! We'll talk about some of the local and out of area deals that people have been doing. The last event had about 25 people and we wandered through topics from creative financing, out of state deals, using wholesalers, buying apartments and more.

When: Friday, April 10, 2015, 7:00pm

Where: Beer 30

2504 S Main St, Soquel, CA 95073

Please support the small business by spending some money and tipping for the great service we receive! They don't have food, but don't seem to mind if we bring some picnic style. It is outdoors, so bring a jacket (although April is usually warm and awesome in Santa Cruz).

Remember, Friday evening traffic can get a touch thick so give yourself some time. I'll hang there till it ends (about 11pm - 2am depending on how conversation flows).

Can't wait to see you all, reply if you want to come. It will help me know how many tables to hold.

- Shane

People typically come from: Santa Cruz, Felton, Boulder Creek, Scotts Valley, Live Oak, Capitola, Soquel, Aptos, Watsonville, Freedom, Pajaro, Seaside, Castroville, Salinas, Gilroy, Marina, Aromas, Monterey, Carmel, Los Gatos, Campbell, Saratoga, San Jose.

Hey @Kimberly Rushing  - welcome to the crew!

I'd love to come for a hangout but I'm starting a sizable remodel on a rental Monday and @Peter Chester and I got an offer accepted on a 10-unit today. Gonna be a busy dude. We are totally overdue to catch up.

I'm thinking of picking a meetup date for santa cruz in mid april, but just haven't been able to pencil it out yet. @Troy Fisher moved to chicago this month, so at the moment I am the main driver for the meetup.

@Jay Lohn - I totally buy that. We didn't bother classing those as it was a touch far from our area of focus. Where do you put them out of curiosity? Where are you properties?

A local business buddy of mine and I have been trying to narrow down the MSAs we are focusing on in the twin cities. Last week we got on google hangout and "mapped" the different neighborhoods by their general class. I know that every street has its own character, but I was curious from local investors, does this seem somewhat accurate? Anything you super disagree with? We're looking for small apartment buildings (750 - 1.5M).
