@Bret Lorenson

You only need to be licensed in the state of MN if you manage commercial property.  Great to know- you will be a good contact for me.

@Brian K.

Do I have stories for you!  I have experienced some really crazy things.  I learned from the best and have some great experience on how to keep properties cash flowing on a budget.   In 12 years you really have time to watch what started as a mom and pop type investment group company grow to one of the largest management companies in the Twin Cities.  My ideal rental is a duplex on up to a large complex.  I myself am just starting out so I am looking for my first duplex/ tri-plex.

@Andrew Cordle - Thanks, that will be helpful

@Bret Lorenson - I am not a licensed agent but am certified in property management.  I am interested in NE and south Minneapolis mostly.  If I were doing a flip, possible Nomi.  I am open to most opportunities though.  If something is too good to pass up, I won't.  Location is very important to me.

Hi fellow investors-

My name is Shane Setzer and I am new to Bigger Pockets.  I thought I would start by introducing myself on Bigger Pockets and hopefully meet some people to network with nearby.  So here is the rundown on me.

I have 12 years of experience in property management and am certified through the MN Multi-Housing Association. I ended my career as a regional property manager and still answer the phones for the multi-Housing Association to help out property owners with questions pertaining to anything rental.  If you have a question pertaining to anything property management or are looking for any advice- I'm your guy!  I live it, know it and breathe it.

I currently work for All Elements roofing as a sales rep, specializing in flat, shingled in standing seam roofing in the Twin Cities. I decided that I needed to get some sales experience and wanted to learn more about other functions of real estate I had no clue about. I now speak fluently in roofing. If you have any questions about roofing- I'm happy to help.

I live in NE Minneapolis with my partner and 2 dogs.  My ultimate goal is to own my own property management company.  I am in the process of getting my finances together and will hopefully be purchasing my first rental property in 2015.  Thank you for taking the time to read this.
