@Joe Splitrock if someone hadn’t paid me in four months theyd be out. At that point you know their just using the system to their advantage. If I had to make an unhealthy or unsafe situation I’d make it that way then call code enforcement out let them temporarily shut me down and get those ******** out!

@Michael Casile Look, since February not sure how many are in each unit? That’s potentially 1200 a person throw a kid that’s an extra 500. Plus if their not working that means their getting unemployment. In the Govenors orders (North Carolina) if the dwelling is unsafe or unhealthy they can vacate. I haven’t experienced this problem yet, however I got that in my arsenal of things to do in the event such problems arises. Take a hammer bust a sewer pipe then say it’s unsanitary u got to go!!

@Jeannie H Armstrong 10k must be something wrong etc.. I used to buy into that story as a rookie. However, through experience I no longer believe that story nor will I allow myself to believe that. Tell u what if u got money put it up. If I can’t produce that result for you I’ll pay u. Yes and most time your right those are the type of scenarios you’ll get for 10k. And I was only making a point on why people are where their at. People today are where their at based off what was done or not done yesterday. But before I paid a landlord I’d buy one of those scenarios and live in it work on it and walk to work if I had to.Why?Because Freedom means that much to me.

This covers a broad spectrum. I come from the School of Feed a Man a Fish(feed him for the day) Teach a man to Fish Feed him for a Lifetime. Having said that I know where you can still get houses less than 20k . (Of course they need work mainly cosmetic) in fact I could negotiate something like that for 10. In fact, I had a tenant which I showed him that. In fact I was willing to go out of my way and create that situation for him. So at Tax time,( he’s got some small kids), what does he do? Goes out and buys a newer vehicle! The house he could’ve got for 10 prolly worth 40. The Car will prolly be in the Junkyard few years from now. My point is, the government needs to realize not everybody can be Winners. And from the example above you can clearly see not everyone can be leaders. The key thing is “it’s a choice” now can it be argued (people are trained to be ignorant, from our school systems and I’m not going to say that’s not the case.) To date we can all choose. I like I’m still able to customize my life the way I want it to go. And I be damned if I’m going to pushed around and made into a Robot!

@James Hamling I think there’s a book called Willing Accomplaces (circa 1956) that sheds more light. Everything with the Social Programs all the way down to the Social Unrest with riots. Instead of Bigger Pockets should be how do we keep our Pockets at this point.?? And any Idiot that wants to give Socialism or Communism a try should google what happened to private owners when Communism was introduced into China.

Who owns what? Things I have are paid for. Yet, who’s the actual owner? The government is because if they weren’t I wouldn’t have to pay taxes.Unless, you have Allodial Title ,which unless you are your own Sovereign Nation then you don’t have. Then if u have bank loans and such in order to finance your dreams (leverage using opm) great, your a middleman between your bank and the tenant. If the government didn’t own it, how come they can tell us when we can and can’t evict? Fill in the blanks people, connect the dots, can’t you see what’s going on?

@Michael Casile I’m in NC also. I have to admit to date I’m being paid but with Cooper your exactly right I see that as the biggest threat to me.
