Hi @Dan DiCairano I too have gone down this rabbit hole. I would recommend checking out @Mat Sorensen's book, The Self-Directed IRA Handbook. I'm currently reading it and it goes into great depth on this topic.

Thanks @luciaruston! Yes, I’ve looked at a few dozen so far. It seems like the majority of them needed some work because they were built in the 80’s. I do not have a preference per say. I could lean either way, just depends on the cashflow. I’d love to hear your feedback since you understand the market here. Thanks @jameswise! Excited to be here!!

Hi BP Community!

My name is Shaun and I am new to BP & Dallas, Texas. I recently relocated to the DFW area from southern California for my career. I work in finance so you could say that I am a numbers guy! One of many reasons why I love real estate.

I am an avid learner and have been reading, listening to podcast, going to meetups and maintaining spreadsheets/models to better understand how the multifamily world operates.

My goals & objectives:

  1. Build my network/team
  2. Close on a quadplex before the close of 2020
  3. Help others however I can
  4. Continue learning and building my portfolio
  5. Achieve financial freedom before I am 45 years old

I understand that real estate is a team sport, so I look forward to meeting and engaging with you all!
