Post: Finding owners in Wyoming

How do I buy a house that is in rough shape, the owner has passed a few years ago, and will be sold for taxes due in a year or so. I thought about contacting whoever has the first year tax lien and buying it, but that is still a gamble. He has a son (in his 70’s) and at least 1 grandchild in town as far as I know. Thanks

I just bought a few tax liens in Wyoming. Have to be the first lien holder and wait 4 years here. Going through the legal process now on foreclosing on my first. All of the last 3 years have been paid so I got my investment back plus interest.

I’ve looked myself, there isn’t too many either. Glenrock has a few. I live in Casper and have a couple there.

I am curious as well, I bought some a couple years ago and believe I can move forward this year on acquiring them. Only bought the one year and kind of jumped into it without proper research on the subject.
