I know this thread is a little old, but can you elaborate?

"Wealth is of the mind and heart, not of the pocket."

For those who are interested in meeting up for a mixer with other like-minded individuals looking to expand their networks and circles of influence, this is a relaxed environment for you. Unfortunately, we can only accommodate 25-30 people, but I will have more meet-ups in the up-coming months.

Here is the link to RSVP. Look forward to seeing you there!

Hey @Rick H. I know that this conversation is over a year old, however I am in a similar situation with a lien that is over 900K. (I guess they were running some kind of diamond importing business from their condo and refusing to pay their taxes). The foreclosure attorney never contacted the IRS, so I am hoping that there is some way that the IRS can be contacted retroactively.

Also, do you know anything about the process of getting the Mortgage Lien wiped away?

Dear  @JJ Conway @Jay Hinrichs @Rich Baer and @Ned Carey thank you so much for following your feedback.

Turns out that the IRS lien is for over 900K.  I also found out that it turns out that the foreclosure attorney  didn't contact the IRS nor the previous mortgage company. So because he did not do his do diligence I should be able to get a return on my initial down payment. There is no language around marketable title in the contract nor about the title being free and clear, so I am getting a bit nervous, but learning a lot as I move along. Apparently these situations arise often in the DC area with these condo foreclosures where the attorney does not do their job and a refund shouldn't be too hard to navigate. [fingers crossed]

K. Jay Hinrichs I'm just so nervous about this now. I think I found a paragraph on the IRS's website stating that if the original debtor is deceased that the debt should clear. I'm going to talk to the title company tomorrow and see if what and if we can work all this out. Have a good rest of your night. I'll follow up with you to let you know how all this plays out.

@Jay Hinrichs If I am able to pay all cash, Is there any way to clear this lien? and will it be possible to sell it in the future?

@Jay Hinrichs So if I can pay all cash I can still acquire the property? and if I am, will I be able to sell?
