Hi Everyone,

I keep seeing ads for investing in shared office space. They promise great returns, they promise ten years of income, they promise a way to exit, etc.

Anyone have any experience in this venue?

Thank you.

Thank you, Adam. I need to steer away from places like this.

It looks like the house has a really low assessment value, and that once someone pays their asking price the yearly taxes will triple, and make it less profit flowing, not to mention the abysmal school system-which is an indication of a really bad neighborhood.

No, thank you.

Perhaps they (Global Investments) was trying a bait and switch on me.

Thanks again.

New Information:

The house I talked about above was 'just reserved by a client in Dubai' according to Global Investments, but they now offered me a house with an address..........................2252 Vermont Avenue, with similar numbers and scenario, except the house looks like a much older house.

Just wondering what the people who wanted an address think of this one.

Thank you.

Thank you, Jim.

I prefer to manage my properties (all two and a half) by myself, but it would be good to know if there is a reliable company out there that creates decent investment opportunities without extravagant claims.

I do not want to be 'taken for a ride,' however pleasant the first two months would be........................

I appreciate all the responses. I don't know the address, as they didn't send that, and I don't know how to go about getting it, but I am surprised that there are people who say this is doable in Toledo.

Global Investments, based in England, sends me offers that look too good to be true.

The latest example is a completely renovated house in Toledo, Ohio already tenanted with Section 8 tenants and managed by a management company.

The price is 40,000 something while the rent is 750 dollars a month.

I live far away from Ohio. Can I trust them?

Thank you.

I am interested in flipping as well.

Ned,

Thank you for replying.

If you don't mind sharing, would you tell me in what zip codes I can find good deals (no war zones)? I am ready to buy, but haven't found anything yet.

I'd really appreciate your help. I prefer county to city, as taxes are half of what they are in the city, and I think the county is easier to work with. The zip codes I've been looking in are zip codes that have both county and city properties, depending on the street/location.

Thank you for your advice.

Hi folks,

It's been quite a while since I've posted.

I have been looking for months for a deal I am comfortable with in Baltimore.

Unless I get in at the right price (and I'm not buying war zone properties), it just isn't a deal.

Can anyone give me any advice about how to contact a bank to make offers before foreclosures/auctions hit the general market?

Thank you,

Shoshana Shulman
