I'm a fresh newbie, but I know that if I could go back with the (little) knowledge i have now, I would have started grinding trying to learn the ins and outs of RE two years ago when i first thought of RE as a means to make a living.
My question for you is: If you could go back to when you first joined the game what would you do differently? Would you have taken a different approach? And most importantly, what questions would you ask? What crucial knowledge would you seek that would be most beneficial for your time and conducive to your goals?
Awesome input you guys. Thank you everyone, much appreciated!

I recently joined my local REIA in which i have the opportunity to work with the leader/organizer of the group. what it looks like is ill be going out and finding deals, properties that the owners are trying to sell and bringing them back to this guy in which ill be paid a finders fee. it seems to be a very promising opportunity to learn the REI business. im just curious if your guys REIAs are operating in a similar manner? is everyone working with a "main leader"? is everybody investing together? how do i get the most out of being a part of this REIA? what do you guys think?? THANKS
As someone who is just starting out/in the learning stage/yet to make first deal, should i focus on a single investing niche (wholesale, fix and flip, buy and hold)? i dont really have any amount of capital, no more than a thousand or so....does that limit me to wholesaling? try and make some money in that then move on? just trying to figure out where i should focus my attention... THANKS

Hello fellow dreamchasers! My name is Dylan Teixeira and i live in sunny, santa barbara, california. I am new to both BP and REI. I'm here to learn as much as i can and get the ball rolling. I know i have tons to learn but dont want to suffer from analysis paralysis, so hopefully BP can keep my head straight and focused on my goals. My goals being: To build enough income/cash flow to be able to quit my job asap. Save money money money to raise capital so that i can begin my business ventures/goals. Explore the country through real estate to learn where i want to settle down and raise a family. And ultimately to buy my parents a home in the paradise of their choosing.
What type of investing do i plan on doing? I DONT KNOW. All of it. Flip rent and wholesale. I recently joined my local REIA, so between that and BP i plan on finding all the answers to questions so that i may build my plan of action! :))
Thank you everybody in advance. I look forward to meeting you all and i hope to be of as much help as i know i'm about to receive in these coming times.
Peace.
