I am a software developer too! I have enjoyed my career but like you I am consumed with REI as a mechanism for retirement income!!
I would suggest if you can try to partner with others in US. Or if you can do some private lending if you comfortable do that.

Hello everyone!
I am a software engineer from Sweden. It's been a few months since I started looking for a more rewarding occupation(Yes, even more than software development!). Like many people here, I also realized how worthwhile real estate investing is through Robert Kiyosaki's lessons, and I also found out this is something that I can really enjoy and "Wake up happy and excited" to do it!
Anyway, I have just started to learn about it. Unfortunately, I'm a bit worried about the fact that I'm in Sweden, and I cannot begin my real estate investment journey here(I can't move to America yet). So if anyone has some good suggestions, I will be glad to hear them. It would be fantastic if I could connect to some people from Europe.
My long-term goal is to reach as much cash flow as I would be able to quit my job and do this 24/7. Short-term goal... deciding which niche and strategy to work with.
I am really glad that I have this opportunity to learn real estate investment from all the professionals here. I wish you all a bright future!
