Quote from @Tim J.:
Stay away from RentRedi.
I like Stessa - mostly free, but there is a paid tier. I am evaluating Buildium, and Rentec to fill in gaps I find in Stessa (maintenance management for the most part)
I also have some success with tenants depositing directly into a bank branch under my accounts.
Hi Tim,
Thank you for the response. Stessa looks like a solid option. Just curious - did you have a bad experience with RentRedi?

Hi All!
I am a new landlord for a small multi-family and am considering having my tenants pay through Venmo/PayPal or I could invest in a software like Apartments.com Rental Manager or RentRedi. Does anyone have experience or insight?
Thanks!
Spencer

I found a property that could be a good MTR opportunity but it comes with a HOA fee. I've heard mixed reviews of using a townhome for an MTR. Ex. My agent says they are less liquid when trying to sell and prices can be more volatile, but I have also heard of some success stories. Does anyone have experience with these property types to share?
Thanks!

Hi All! I'm looking for recommendations of real estate investor/agent friendly accountants. Does anyone have an accountant they highly recommend familiar with TX & NY? Thank you!
Hi Spencer,
Since Texas doesn't have an income tax, there's not much to be aware of on the CPA side, so really you're just looking for somebody who can be aware of what's needed to really minimize your taxes on the federal side while also being aware of the special situations applicable to NY. That person may be somebody who is set up to serve you virtually rather than somebody in your neighborhood.
Best of luck as move through this search!
I appreciate your input Linda!

I believe you may contact the CPA on this podcast, he provided very useful tax information and may retain your services!
Very helpful, thanks Nkechi!

Hi BiggerPockets Community!
I'm learning more about medium-term rentals specifically for travel nurses, and I find it very interesting. Does anyone have experience/insight to the travel nursing demand in San Antonio? And perhaps which hospitals tend to require those positions?
Any insight is greatly appreciated!
Thank you, Spencer

Hi BiggerPockets Community!
I'm looking to connect with other investors that are familiar with the San Antonio Multi-Family market. I'm new to the RE investing arena in San Antonio but have been learning a lot from the forums, books and scouring the market for a great deal. With possible recession looming and high interest rates, I think it's all the more necessary to find a property where the numbers work, but I'm not sure if I'm being too picky.
Happy to connect with any fellow investors to learn and bounce ideas off! -Spencer
