Thank you for that input - disclosure and liability. Wouldn't it be off-putting to an FSBO as well? They would tend to regard me differently, with more suspicion?

I have another question. Some real estae agent web sites indicate the casual visitor can view MLS through their web site. Is that the case?

Welcome to the forum.

In reference to a license, there are advantages and disadvantages. If you have a license then there will be more disclosures to make, procedures to follow, and extra liability on your part. Now as a realtor if you are selling your own house then you will save on the listing fee, you will have access to the MLS to pull comps, and you will have some contacts starting out (at least the other agents in your office).

I personally don't have my license, and have come across very few times that I wish I had it.

I am a new member checking in with everyone. Husband and I have money to invest and want to learn more about finding the good deal, adding some sweat equity and then getting out of it. We don't enjoy being landlords. Also, I am debating on whether getting my real estate license would assist me in this or not. Any direction for me out there? :D
