Quote from @Myka Artis:

Congrats on your approval letter and welcome to the world of real estate investing. What area of the DFW are you looking in? I always look in the Mansfield, Grand Prairie, and Arlington (Entertainment District Only) areas. If I know what areas you're looking in, I can send you deals from lists that I'm on.

Good luck to you!

Hi Myka, right now I'm looking in west Dallas from 35 south up to the Trinity River and also the Garland and Richardson areas.  This might change, as I'm really just trying to see what's available and what area seems to fit in better with what I'm looking for.

Hello. I'm new to real estate investing and am looking to learn more as I look for my first property.  I've been interested in real estate investing before, but life happened and I never did anything.   This time, however, I am going to follow through.  As I've been reading about different ways to invest, fix and flip and BRRRRs are what interest me the most.  I kept reading/hearing about different ways to get financing/funding for fix and flips, so I applied with a hard money lender and within a few minutes got an apporoval letter.  That was way easier than I was expecting.  Now I'm looking for a property. I'm not going rush into one just for the sake of making a purchse, but I've talked to a couple of wholesale companies here in Dallas, so I'm looking.   My background is this.  I'm a CPA and have been doing taxes for 29 years, and I'm at the point where I just am really tired of having my life revolve around tax deadlines, but I do plan on continuing to do it for a few more years, because I do enjoy what I do.  It's that for large chuncks of the year, my time is not my own.
