Hello everyone,
We are thinking about buying a condo in Grand Palms condo resort in Kissimmee. We have a house that we rent short time in the same area and has been doing very well. This is close to Disneyworld.
Does anyone have any experience or can give some advise?
Thanks!

Jim,
I took a real estate agent license in Florida where I have my property, in order to understand more about the real estate business. As I live in Georgia, I have joined a referral broker in Florida to activate my license.
Totally free for you, they can recommend the best agent to fit your needs.
Please let me know if you would like to talk to them.

Hi all,
We have a house in Florida that we short rent through a property management company. I am thinking about putting it on some owner's sites and also rent myself in addition to that.
I am looking for some advice on how to do this the best way. Is this even a good idea? My property manager thinks so.
Thank you so much.

Hi everyone,
What real estates school do you recommend for online class?
The realtor who sold my house suggested Rowlett Real Estate School.
I saw some referrals in BP posts to Real Estate Express. This seems to be cheaper - what is the difference between them? Which one is better? Are there others that I should consider?
I also see various packages - what should be most helpful?
Thank you so much!

Thanks everyone for your help.
My realtor suggested that I should take the online course from Rowlett Real Estate School (this is what she did).
Richard refers to Real Estate Express above. This seems to be cheaper - what is the difference between them? Which one is better?
Thanks again!

Good morning everyone,
I am thinking about getting a real estate license in Florida, where my property is. If I sell or buy something else, I could do it myself. I could also sell other properties now and then, as a part time job. I am interested in learning more about the business and as an engineer, this will be something completely different and challenging.
Is this a good idea, since I still live in Georgia? Planning to maybe move to Florida in the years to come...We will travel now and then and could match the trips with some realtor activities...
Thanks.

Thanks everyone for your input. We opened an account at BoA last week in Kissimmee and set up direct payment for utilities. Property manager sent an invoice for December and he had a check for us that he deposited at BoA. So far so good.

Hi everyone,
We made a few utility payments for our new house in Florida over the phone and they charged every time. How can we pay without any additional charges? I am planning on setting up a new bank account and make automatic online payments. Is this the best way to do it? Also, the new bank account should be personal account or business account? We have Bank of America - if this makes any difference.
Should we open the new account in Georgia, where we live, or in Florida where the rental house is? But in this case all mail will go there - could we ask them to send it to the Georgia address?
Another question: how do we transfer money between the property manager and us? Bank transfer, check, what is the best way? Property manager says he will send an invoice each month - is this how property management works?
Sorry about all these questions that probably sound silly to the experienced investors...any advice will be much appreciated.
Thanks so much!
