I just wanted to take a minute and introduce myself in the KC forum. I introduced myself in the new members forum about two years ago and haven't done anything with it since. I am a new investor, and mostly interested in buy-and-hold small multifamily properties. I have been interested in real estate for a little over ten years, so far I have made it to the education phase. I am ready to dive in and make a move. Right or wrong it's time to make this happen. I hope to connect with some other local investors and hopefully find ways to add value. I live in Basehor, KS btw....forgot that earlier.

Thanks everybody for the warm welcome! I agree it is probably the best idea to pay the student loans off with rental income, and I may go that route. I hate the loans with a passion, and I just want them gone. I'd rather have a car loan, which I don't, but the interest is cheaper. I have actually thought about selling our vehicles on our own to pay off the student loans then getting a cheaper vehicle loan. Anyway, I get side tracked. Thanks for the welcome!

Hello BP world! I live in Basehor, KS (Kansas city suburb) and have absolutely no real estate experience except buying my primary residence. We bought an estate sale that needed updating and have learned a lot through the remodel process by doing the wrong thing. I served 8 years active duty Navy and I'm currently in the reserves, reading investment books while deployed is where my real estate interests started. My goal is to get the wife's student loan paid off, then start building a real estate portfolio. As of right now I'm interspersed in buy and hold local. I could go on forever but I look forward to learning more from the BP world.
