It's only been 2 weeks since they foreclosed, so I'm sure their process is just slow. I just wondered if there was a way I could get a jump on it, or if I just have to wait for them to get through their process.
I've found a property that I may be interested in. It's gone to foreclosure and is now REO. It's not listed anywhere right now. Is there anyway for me to talk to the bank about it or do I have to wait for it to be listed somewhere?

@Steve Scanlon I feel your pain. I'm in a very similar boat and it's hard to resist the urge to get my first deal under my belt when the numbers really don't work out. I'm going to increase my networking and try to find some wholesalers in my area. I'll let you know how it goes.

I am looking at my potential first flip and I'm looking for any contractor recommendations that you have in the Pittsburgh area. Since it would be my first flip and I have no construction experience, I'm willing to pay a bit more for someone reliable and experienced.
Thanks for any help!

@Brandon Purdeu thanks for the encouragement! I have a couple of prospects that I'm going to see on Monday to figure out if they are really deals. I'm trying not to let my excitement to actually get started on a flip get in my way, but sometimes it's hard. It's very helpful to hear the success stories and hopefully I'll be able to report one of my own soon.
Thanks for sharing! It's really good to hear the details of how things are working out as I'm still trying to figure out what neighborhood I want to invest in and stories like yours provide motivation to keep going.

I'm a new investor in the Pittsburgh area. I have no experience in Real Estate and am looking to get into flipping houses. I'm still in the learning phase, so am not close to being ready to actually make a deal. If there are people who have a track record for flipping in the Pittsburgh area I'd love to hear from you to discuss different neighborhoods and what you've experienced in the Pittsburgh market. I'm planning on attending the ACRE meeting next month, but I'd also love to hear whether people have had better experiences with ACRE or REIA.
I still feel a little overwhelmed with all of the information and feel like I don't really know what questions to ask yet, but I wanted to introduce myself.
