Ok, so I have this potential tenant who seems at first glance to have strong financials but he is self employed. He didn't seem to have anything to hide, but when I asked for proof of income, he showed me a bank statement. He showed me two statements, one with his name and company DBA and one with just his name. So my question is, how do you verify employment history and income with a self employed tenant?

I'm about to start a rehab project and I was wondering what other BPers thoughts and experiences where when it comes to alarm systems? I was thinking about simplisafe alarm system? What are your thoughts and with construction site alarm monitoring? Thanks!

@Rob Beland the house is in Texas. 

So here is the deal, I am closing this Friday on a house from my direct mail outs. The seller lives in Maine and had a very vague hand scribbled lease agreement with the tenant. The seller and I have both tried contacting the tenant and he is ignoring us. We are pretty sure he knows the house is being sold. So, since I'm pretty sure I will have to evict him, I was wondering if anyone has ever used an eviction service? Here in Texas they charge about $300 and handle everything for you. It will cost me way more than that in time off from work. Thoughts?
