Hi @Tyler, thank you for the insight. It would be purely an investment property and I've heard how competitive the market out there is especially around Disney and Universal. Thank you!

Hey everyone 👋

I’m exploring two regions for my first short-term rental investment and wanted to hear real experiences and perspectives from those who’ve hosted or owned there.

Markets I’m comparing:

  • Davenport, FL (Disney / Orlando corridor)
  • Northwest Arkansas (Fayetteville / Prairie Grove / Siloam Springs area)

If you’ve operated in either market, I’d love to hear:

  • How’s occupancy and seasonality been lately?
  • Are regulations tightening or still friendly toward STRs?
  • What do you like or dislike about running an STR there?
  • Any advice for someone deciding between these two areas?

Thanks in advance and I really value firsthand insights more than what spreadsheets say!

I've just joined BP. Actively looking into investing in real estate properties in the mid-west and developing states.
I'm also looking for information on buying parking spaces in downtown areas. Any leads on that?
