A local agent and Broker of Johnson Home and Land in Lovell, Wyoming became a REALTOR around age 20. She's been doing it for over 20 years and is very successful. However, she was supported by her husband when she started so she probably didn't have to worry about putting food on the table.
Over 80% of agents quit in their first two years. It's not as easy as people think and it's even more difficult if you are young and inexperienced. You'll be competing against people that are more educated, 2-3 times your age, and with far more life/job experience that will be far more relatable to the average buyer/seller/investor.
It's not impossible but you should go in with eyes wide open and know what you're up against. You will have to hustle just to keep up.
I know that its not going to be easy. Even just getting my real estate license is going to be challenging, but I'm willing to put the time, energy, and effort to become successful in this industry, I just need to figure out how to get started and hit the ground running. I picked up Rich Dad Poor Dad and The Cashflow Quadrant by Robert Kiyosaki today. Im really trying to do this.

Understandable. So are you saying I should invest or buy my own home first before trying to get into real estate? And have you ever heard of a teenager making in the real estate business?

No, sadly neither of my parents work in real estate. I do have a family friend that just became a broker not to long ago and I could definelty ask her for help and advice. My goal is financial freedom and security so I need to learn how to manage money well.
I just turned 18 in January 2019 and I’ve been doing my research online for the past year on real estate, wholesaling, flipping and investing and I think this is what I want to do as a career. But since I haven’t graduated high school yet, what can I do to get a head start and get going early?
