I'm a wholesaler in Detroit and I am on the verge of being homeless. I recently received a message saying that to help this situation I could live in house mortgage free via subject to leasing. Can anyone explain this to me? I never fully understood subject to's or lease options.

I am on the verge of being thrown out on the street right now. I am hoping to put a home under contract asap, because I need the money to get an apartment. Someone advised me to use a sub to lease to help me out in the mean time with my housing situation. But I am not exactly sure how this would work. How does sub to's work?

Ok here I am, a full year and a half into jumping into real estate. I am ready right now to put my first property under contract, but something is holding me back... fear. I am scarred shitless about putting my first house under contract. Being that I live in metro Detroit, so many good deals come my way, but its like I freeze up when it comes time to call up or email the listing agent or seller to offer a verbal price. I keep having thoughts about my fear of not finding an end buyer, or not being able to flip or rehab the house if I dont find an end buyer, or not finding a HML to finance my flip... I am plagued by what ifs these days. I am too scared to jump, in an too scared to fail. Did you guys have this fear when you first got into REI?

Hey Doug, I think Im going to have to disagree with the U of M cheer.... GO STATE!!!! SPARTANS are taking it all the way this year!!! lol but I do agree with the warren buffet statement. People dont realize how much good can come of this unfortunate crisis, but I am taking advantage of it now!
