From the pictures the cracks don't look that bad, are you sure you need to have piers. Most basements on the Kansas City area can be fixed by adding wall restraints and fixing drainage problems on the outside.

We just went through this on a house. Got several estimates that ranged all over the place. We finally decided to have an engineer come out and look at the house. He was very helpful best money we ever spent.

My partner and I both work full time and are working on our third flip. The major things that make it possible for us is we paid cash for the house so no financing, do majority of the work ourselves , have flexible jobs. The bad is we work most weekends and some weekday nights and the projects take longer. We also need to make sure the deal is good enough to make it worth our time and the scope of the rehab is something that we are capable of doing.
