Who has personal experience and recommendations for multifamily property management in Dallas, TX that take on smaller unit numbers? Looking at a 27 unit property, which may be tricky to find management for,  and want to shop some rates. Figured i'd go off recommendations first before just calling all options on Google.

I was wondering if there is anyone in the Plano/Frisco, TX area that would like to grab lunch sometime.

@Pundari Pothini I hear ya, I am using the same methods right now as well as looking on MLS for fun. Found what may have looked like a contender at the 1% rule but then dug into the numbers and property tax sucks in TX, so that really made it look less appealing.

@Pundari Pothini that's stinks to hear that the market has gotten tricky and you have stopped looking. What methods were you using to try and find 1% deals?

Hey BP!!!

My name is Tommy Brownell and I’ve lived in McKinney, TX for about 2 years now. I moved here from CA for work and lived in NH before that.

My interest in real estate started about 2 months ago when I was on a business trip. I was having lunch with an automotive technician and he explained that he does this thing called BRRRR method with houses in his area. At the time, I had no idea what he was talking about, so I began to dig into real estate when I got home and that's how I found BiggerPockets!

Currently, I am a Product Engineer with Toyota Motor North America. Toyota moved to TX from CA and I came along with them. I am in the process of reading over a few BP books to get my feet on the ground and hope to purchase my first property within the next 90 days.

If you’re in the DFW area and are into working on cars, drifting, Hot Wheels (yes, the kids toys), shooting or talking real estate and would like to meet up sometime, let me know!!

@Bart H. That’s good to know. Thanks for the tip!! I’m still getting my feet under me but I’ve been networking with realtors and slowly building a local team.
