I too am new to investing and in reading the BP forums for the past 3 or 4 months I have learned more than the 20 or so books on REI that I have read over the past two years. The people on this site have so much information and are more than willing to share with anyone that wants to listen. On top of that I find this material much more believable than the books because it is being told by people doing it everyday and not just someone trying to sell a book.

I followed a friend of mine and invited as a colleague. He said he never received the invite so I stopped following him to retry the invite. Now it is no longer giving me the option to follow him again. Is there a way I can make this happen?

Where (if at all) can I go to look into access of the MLS. Can I pay for it even if I am not a Realtor? I have heard its expensive but I am curious as to the exact costs and how to go about it.

This may be a dumb question but here it goes anyway.....

Living in Wisconsin, do you travel to Florida alot to do your investing or do you mostly do it over the phone, web, etc....

I ask because I live in Pennsylvania and would like to invest in Florida. I just can't see myself being able to run/fly down there very often to pursue it...

I could be wrong but I am pretty sure I have seen colleges offer Real Estate Lic. classes. That may be something to look into so that you don't have to surrender yourself to the broker who helped get you licensed. If you are just doing it for the knowledge try that route and just don't take the license exam???

Is the house you are trying to get a house you plan on living in or one to flip/rent out? I don't know why anyone in the world would want to do a hard money loan for a house they intend to live in....
