Hey guys its Tyler. I finally set in stone my goal for 2016 which consists of the following. I want to buy my first quad (in York county Maine) and start house hacking. By thanksgiving I intend to be moved in and before the new year have the other three vacancies filled. If I spend my time from here until August saving before looking for deals is this goal too far fetched? Any advice in succeeding this goal by anyone would be greatly appreciated. Thanks to everyone who has been a help on this site.

thanks I absolutely will! I have heard of the Miracle Morning but haven't heard any reviews on it. The Millionaire Real Estate Investor however haven't heard of at all so I'll have to take a look!

After recently finishing the book Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill I have come to the conclusion that this and The Art of War might be two of the strongest pieces of literature I have ever read to begin changing my actions. I personally have a hard time finding new books to read, never mind books that will benefit my life and make me a better person and one day a great buy and hold investor. With that being said I think we should compose a list of everyone's top books that have shaped them in there business. If there is already a list of all the books listed in podcasts that I am unaware of I would love to be pointed out to it and apologize for the post. Thanks for everyone's input.

Alright guys so I have decided that my long term goal is to own my own self storage units. I am 21 years old and currently have little to nothing saved up. My credit is good from my several years of vehicle payments and I work round the clock so I can save fast once I decide to go all in. My issue is I have no idea how much money I should save up and I have no idea the best way to ease into my goal. Self storage units seem like a better long term cash flow object than my previous thoughts of buy and hold however buy and hold seems like it would be easier to start in with an FHA loan. My long term future goal is to gross $250,000 annually (not sure if this is way out of reach or not). My major question is, if I have absolutely nothing, how many years should I spend saving up and what would be the best way to create my own empire owning storage units?

Other than using the calculators on this site, how can you crunch all the numbers to figure out exactly how much you can expect to net and gross for a potential deal?
