Tenants took out a toilet bidet connected to the water supply line but didnt instal it properly as there was a leak, it flooded the bathroom, another room, the hall, and some of the kitchen. I need to rip up the floor and baseboards to dry the unit out. Since this was tenant damage are they responsible for the the total cost to fix the unit?

Thank you everyone for your input. Based on everyones insight I am going to go forward with buying a rental property but as an investor and not as a primary residence as this is the best option for my life at this time.
