Thank you all!
I reduced rental price and saw two new "saves" for my listing in Zillow but no contacts yet. Keeping my fingers crossed!
@Andrew B. @Kristine Ann thanks to you I found out yesterday that there is a university housing web site that lets property owners post their listings. I did that and waiting to hear from that angle.

Thank you @Kristine Ann and @Ahmad Aram
What does it mean when I don't see any one bedroom units in a 1 mile radius? Is it a good thing or bad thing?

My condo is located near a university and apartments in that area cater to student population.
Condo has been on the market for 14 days. No leads so far.
This is summer where most of the students are either off on holidays or have an apartment.
It is a 1 bed, 1 bath. There are no 1 bed in the 1 mile radius that I can see in the rental sites like zillow, realtor, apartments.
I am not sure if I priced the condo correctly as I relied on rentometer completely.
Reduced price once but no leads so far. I can that zillow is generating views close to 10 every day but no contacts so far.
How do you approach the situation when there are no comps for your condo?
What should be my strategy? Any advice?

I agree with above poster with the fact that there is a risk of vacancies during summer months, so, plan accordingly.
Thank you @Nathan M kiefer. We are going to reuse an existing door. Should there be insulation if the new drywalls are going to be interior walls? Please pardon my ignorance as I am getting my feet wet.

Hello:
I got a quote for converting a 16x10 living room into a bedroom. It has 9 foot ceilings, some plaster of paris and need to adjust a vent. The handyman gave me a quote for $5000 and $300 for materials. I live in the vicinity of kansas city; does anyone know if this is a reasonable estimate?
Should I get a second opinion?
Thanks.
Not a very clear scope?
framing, electric, adding walls? Doors closet windows?
not enough information to give you an accurate quote.
the only thing we can derive out of this post is $300 in materials and 5k labor something isn't right. No clue how it takes someone 5k in labor on $300 in materials but you didn't provide enough information
Sorry. Let me try to give additional information.
Currently, living room and dining room is one large space (open layout).
My intent is to convert half of this space into a bedroom by adding drywall on two sides with a door.
This space already has windows and I have no intention of adding closets. Some electrical is involved to add light to bedroom and some work to add air register. I was quoted 5k.

Found my answer. I had to go into Home > Properties > True Leads > Application Requests. Once I was on that page, I could see the applicant's email address and contact info.

Hello:
Does anyone know how I can reach out to a prospective tenant from apartments.com portal directly or indirectly? I am using apartments.com for listing and do not want to use it for screening. yesterday I received an application request from the portal but I want to use mysmartmove for screening. I don't know how to contact the prospective applicant.
Any ideas?
Thanks.
